The 22-year-old tennis player Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and will keep coach through next year.
The British player advanced to round three in three of the four Grand Slams during the season.
Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her remaining competitions in 2025 because of a health issue she has been battling for the last week and a half.
Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to regain her health prior to beginning plans for the 2026 season.
Her upcoming training will include her coach Francisco Roig, as they have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.
She required blood pressure checks in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.
Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.
She was also playing far from freely in the third set in the match with Zhu owing to back discomfort that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.
These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the top 30 globally after more than three years for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.
She held three match points then was defeated by Jessica Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.
Raducanu won 28 victories in the current season and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.
Ranked first in Britain made the last eight of a premier WTA event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament then falling in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.
She was coached by Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in for the US Open.
The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.
She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.
She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.
The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
