Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public personalities offered varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making controversial statements that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the critics last week. Talking on his show, Rogan described the comments as "shocking" and suggested they showed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an adviser ought to have acted when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
